USS Hornet Museum
Remarkably the most unique venue in Northern California, the USS Hornet Museum is a WWII Aircraft Carrier with plenty of history and class.
Launched in 1943, USS Hornet spent the first 16 months at sea in the Pacific Theater. During the Vietnam War she was outfitted for space recovery and was in position to recover Apollo 11 during the summer of 1969 and in 1970, she recovered Apollo 12. From WWII to the Space Age the USS Hornet Museum is a treasure of history.
With a 37,502 sq. ft. Hangar Bay, the USS Hornet Museum has hosted events for as many as 3,800 in theatre seating and 2,500 walk around. A reception on the 100,000 sq ft Flight Deck and dinner or dancing in the Hanger Bay is a wonderful way to experience this amazing venue.
Google, AMD, Chevron, Chiron, Bayer, Comcast, Farmer’s Insurance & Novartis are just a few of the many corporate functions that have taken place there. Product launches, dinner parties, receptions, expos, tours, concerts, festivals, movies, and celebrations for every occasion are special when held at the USS Hornet Museum.
